Telegram
Get trade alerts and control your bots from Telegram through the official @tradectlbot. You link your tradectl account once — not each bot — and from then on every bot and watchdog you run reports to your chat with zero per-bot Telegram config.
There's no BotFather token to create and no chat id to copy into config files.
Connect
Pick whichever is in front of you — the same link works from any device.
From the Lab or web
Open the tradectl Lab → Profile (or app.tradectl.com/account) and click Connect Telegram. It opens @tradectlbot — just tap Start. The page flips to Connected as @you on its own.
On a desktop with Telegram on your phone? The card also shows a code — send /link 7KQ2-M9XF to the bot and you're connected.
From a server (CLI)
tradectl telegram linkOpen this link and tap Start: https://t.me/tradectlbot?start=7KQ2M9XF
(or send /link 7KQ2M9XF to @tradectlbot — expires in 10 minutes)
Waiting… ✓ linked as @youtradectl telegram status and tradectl telegram unlink round it out.
Using it
Once linked, every bot's alerts land in the chat automatically — nothing to set up per bot.
Reads answer for your whole fleet by default. Send /month and get one message — your total for the month, broken down by bot, no need to pick one first:
📅 July — portfolio +$1,840 · 3 bots
grid-btc +$480
shot-alts +$1,210
paper-test +$150Same for /status, /profit, /positions, and /last_month. Add all to list every bot instead of the top few — /month all.
Want one bot specifically? Two ways:
- Name it:
/month shot-alts. - Reply to any message that bot sent — the reply picks the target.
Commands that change something never guess a target. /stop, /session_reset, and the rest need a name or a reply — a bare /stop asks you to pick one instead of acting. To stop the whole fleet: /stop all (with a confirm).
/bots— your fleet (online / offline / alerts-only) as a reference, and a menu to reply from./help— the rest of the commands./unlink— disconnect this chat.
Privacy
Alerts are relayed through tradectl.com — the platform delivers the message text your bot composed to Telegram. This is how one shared bot is possible without a token on your machine.
Prefer to keep Telegram traffic entirely off the platform? Configure a bot with your own BotFather token and chat id in its config telegram block — that's the original zero-platform path and it still works, on any tier.
Notes
- Private chats only. Group chats and channels aren't supported in v1.
- One chat per account. Linking a new chat replaces the previous one.
- Blocked the bot? Alerts stop and the Lab shows Telegram: blocked — send
/startagain to reconnect. - Watchdogs report too. Watchdog alerts arrive in the same chat; they're always delivered even during a rate-limit storm.
